Comedian doesn't realize the joke is on them when they're unknowingly condescending to the bar's manager: 'I'm the manager and I will never book you again'

It's often said that anyone at a comedy show is fair game, but even then, there's a limit to what constitutes "fair." Even if you're up on a stage, you can't expect to just go around saying what you want without any consequence. If you go after the person who is basically responsible for whether or not you get the gig, you'd better do so tactfully and not get personal about it.

This comedian, who had regularly performed at the bar that this bartender and their partner managed, decided one night to go all-in on them, ranting on and on about how some people are "lazy" and can't get a job, going on to directly call out the bar manager and their appearance, making derogatory and presumptive comments about them and their status assuming them to be a bartender—all without realizing that they were actually the manager of the bar with direct control over the bookings.

Really, the moral of the story here is that you should just be nice to everyone and that you should never judge a book by its cover.
